Honey Facts
Burns, Cuts, Infections of the Skin The active sterility of honey has proved useful for the dressing of wounds. It was mentioned in early medical books as good for cuts, burns, boils and abscesses. Because of its hygroscopic nature (absorbing or attracting moisture from the air) it does not dry out when used as a dressing. It is healing and soothing as an application, particularly for burns.
Sore Throat Honey is frequently used in cough and sore throat mixtures because of its antiseptic and soothing qualities.
Recuperation It has the reputation of helping to prevent the occurrence of stomach ulcers, and is frequently used in the diet of convalescents as an aid to recuperation after illness, its instant energy assisting the body towards more rapid recovery, and its ease of digestibility making it suitable for the queasiest invalid. You cannot overdose on honey.
Bedwetting Honey has been used successfully in treating bedwetting in children. It is claimed that one or two teaspoons of honey at bedtime will act in two ways; firstly, as a sedative for the over-active nervous system, and secondly, its hygroscopic properties will hold and attract fluids during the hours of sleep so that bedwetting is less likely to occur.
Cramps It is said to assist in controlling muscular twitches and cramps, if taken by the teaspoonful at each meal.
Arthritis Honey is claimed to relieve pain in arthritis if taken regularly.
Hay fever Honeycomb is claimed to be excellent for treating certain disturbances of the respiratory tract, such as bronchitis, hay fever, sinusitis and stuffy noses, etc. Honeycomb cappings (wax) when chewed, are said to relieve these conditions with even more remarkable speed.
Recipes Honey may be used for many different kinds of cooking – cakes, biscuits, beverages, loaves, desserts, sauces and dressings. Honey used in cakes and biscuits will help them retain their moisture and they won’t go stale as quickly as when sugar is used. When substituting honey for sugar in a cake recipe, use the same weight measure of honey but reduce the liquid in the recipe by one quarter Eg. If the recipe says one cup of milk, use 3/4 cup instead. Also, reduce the recommended cooking temperature by 15 degrees.
How to keep honey

Stradbroke Island Jelly Bush Honey 20+ VS Stomach ulcers
25.05.2010
Hello Judy I found your marvellous Jelly Bush Honey after 15 long years of searching among mainstream medical specialists for answers and resolution to my stomach ulcer problem. The medical profession had no trouble diagnosing that I had stomach ulcers however they were not able to offer any solution - the tablets never seemed to work. My system was on 'shut down'. I had to progressively eliminate food items from my diet no longer able to digest them. Eventually my daily fair consisted of not much more than rice and chicken - I couldn't even eat a banana without severe pain and a lot of farting! Now after just a few short weeks of eating Jelly Bush 20+ honey I have lost nearly all the discomfort and pain from my stomach. I am back eating bananas without offending my friends and the absolute bonus is I can again eat 'Coco Bombs' for breakfast! Thanks for such a great product that is doing the job the medical profession tried and failed at for fifteen years. It's truly amazing and literally a lifesaver. Kind regards Rodney Gwyn Condobolin NSW PS: A side benefit for me has been that since eating Jelly Bush honey my blood pressure has dropped 5 or 6 points also. It seems the honey promotes health and wellbeing in many ways.
